Preventative and Periodontal Care

We run a Comprehensive Periodontal Program. All patients new and existing are routinely screened for Periodontal Disease. Our approach is driven by preventative care. We work with our patients to help maintain a healthy mouth.

Many people have periodontal disease - and don't know it. It is often silent and not discovered by patients until there is pain or loosening of the teeth. Early signs of periodontal disease are important to recognize: bleeding gums. loosening teeth, increased spaces between teeth, bad breath, receding gums, and ultimately pain and infection. Most of these issue can be prevented with early detection and treatment. Recent studies have linked periodontal disease to heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, and stroke. Timely treatment is critical. In our office, we also provide the expertise of a Periodontist (a specialist in the treatment of Periodontal Disease). He is available to provide diagnosis, treatment planning, and surgery if necessary.
