Sometimes your top and bottom teeth, or "bite",  do not fit together properly, we call this a malocclusion or a bad bite - such can produce deterioration of your teeth, muscle tension and jaw pain. A bad bite can also leave your teeth more susceptible to chips and breaks.

Additionally, straight teeth are easier to clean and less likely to get tooth decay, injury, or gum disease.

Orthodontic treatments are recommended to slowly change the positioning of the teeth to be straighter and more aligned. The treatment can vary depending on your bite, age, and aligning devices.
